Routers for Bears

Verify that the problem is with your wireless router, and not the ISP. You can hook up you computer directly to the modem to check. If the internet works, it's your router that's on the fritz.
·  To get the internet functioning again, turn off the computer(s) and unplug the modem and router. Wait ten minutes. After ten minutes, plug in the modem and router and fire up the computer. Push the button in the center of the Linksys console (the reset button) 99% of the time this will bring everything back to normal. If it doesn't try it once more before calling Linksys tech support.

If the internet cuts out everyday, but you can still get it back using the method in step 2, call tech support for your Linksys wireless router. They will walk you through the process of changing your administrator settings via the Linksys url http://192.168.1.1 (this is the ip address of the router) Don't change the settings on your own if you don't know what you are doing.

Another source of Linksys troubleshooting tips can be found on the community forums of the Linksys By Cisco website. Thousands of Linksys users like you can share their problems and solutions for common wireless router glitches.

One thing that may reduce the frequency of outages is to plug your linksys wireless router into a surge protector. Linksys devices are sensitive to power surges and your device may malfunction more in bad weather

How Running Explains the World

No Matter Where You Go There You Are

Four Years Ago I went out for a run on a cold and windy night. I remember sprinting the last few blocks because I wanted to ask out a special girl to go see a Blazers game. It was just a fit of hysteria. I made the phone call and she accepted my proposal for a date. We had a great time and we had great seats.  The next day I had planned on running the entire Wild-Wood trail with my friend Kristina.  Special kudos to my friend Kristina who made the run with me. She bailed at about 24 miles but she was such a tremendous support.

I got done with the run and the special girl from the game last night showed up at my house (how did she know where I lived) with a nice Pasta Dinner from Beaverton's finest; Ernesto's. It was a lovely surprise and one I did not expect. We eventually ended up getting married. The magic of Ernestos.

Well I am going to be be making the exact same run this Sunday and I am really excited to be in a place (physically and mentally) to make this run. I cherish the memory of that run four years ago and I am hopeful of finishing once again. Ernestos would also be nice.

Disclaimer This is not exactly how it happened. This is how I remember it to the best of my abilities and the 30 minutes afforded me on lunch break.
